A Few Reasons Why The Twickenham House is One of My Top Wedding Venues in North Carolina
The venue has character and offers so much. It is one of the only wedding venues that checks all the boxes. The views, the accommodations, the old classic architecture, the staff, and it has character.
The Old English Manor and Guest Cottage not only looks like it’s from a movie but it can also accommodate up to 50 guests with a commercial kitchen. The Old English Manor has a library with billiards, a spa with a steam room and dry sauna, a game room, a movie theater, and is near the cliffside ceremony site with stunning views. The ceremony site has one of the best views of the Smoky Mountains. I am sure there are other wedding venues in Asheville with great views, but this is definitely a personal favorite. It’s also spacious enough for 200 people to enjoy.
I will say the weather is unpredictable; both times I have been there, clouds come in and out, so you don’t always know what you’re going to get. Cloudy or not, we know how to make the best imagery for the available conditions. Clouds can mean the background is not always clear, but they do provide soft light for beautiful portraits, family photos, and even details. When the sun comes out after cloud coverage, it is usually a photographer's dream since we can have photos in the same beautiful location with different lighting, which utterly changes the composition of the image. Light is photography, and I notice that when I turn in a gallery with both sun and shade, it ends up being an amazing gallery.
Another reason this is one of my top wedding venues is due to its space and how photogenic it is. There are many options for photos in its 412 acres of outdoor grounds. If you cannot visit the venue in person, I would recommend looking at their website to see everything they have to offer. It's not only how the venue looks, but everything else they have to offer that makes your wedding day easier to plan. Every time I’ve done a wedding here, I’ve had a great experience with their staff, DJ, rentals, florists, and other friendly wedding vendors.
